张勇进，英国布里斯托尔大学政治学系教授，长期从事国际关系理论和中国历史、经济、政治经济学研究，主要学术论著有：China in the International System: 1918-1920—The Middle Kingdom at the Periphery, China in International Society since 1949: Alienation and Beyond, China’s Emerging Global Businesses: Political Economy and Institutional Analysis等。
于2010年4月12日“中国深度研究高级讲坛”第二十六场做了题为“中国与世界：在过去和未来之间”的主题讲座。
