詹姆斯·卡茨（James Katz）将于2023年秋季聘为复旦高研院和新闻学院双聘高级访问学者。詹姆斯·卡茨（James Katz）系波士顿大学传媒学院新兴媒体系主任、讲座教授, 美国科学促进会会士 (American Association for the Advancement of Science)。在此之前，他曾在美国罗格斯大学（Rutgers University）任教，并享有该校最高教职荣誉。他的研究兴趣涉及人工智能、社交媒体、移动通信、人机交互以及社交媒体对人际关系的影响。Katz教授目前已发表100多篇同行评议的学术文章，出版著作 Perceiving the Future Through New Communication Technologies: Robots, AI and Everyday life; Journalism and the Search for Truth in an Age of Social Media; Philosophy of Emerging Media; The Social Media President; Magic in the Air; Mobile Communication and the Transformation of Social Life; Social Consequences of Internet Use: Access, Involvement, Expression; Handbook of Mobile Communication Studies等，拥有两项专利。他现任国际上多家顶级学术期刊编委，获得过美国社会学学会2011年Ogburn学术生涯成就奖、2021年国际传媒学会最具声望的Frederick Williams Prize等诸多国际荣誉奖。
