International conference "The Value(s) of Europe"

On November 23-25, 2011, the European Values Study and Tilburg University organize an international conference on the Value(s) of Europe at Tilburg University, the Netherlands.
The program on Thursday, November 24 and Friday morning, November 25, include key note speeches on "Democratic citizenship and its Consequences for the Enlarged European Union" by professorHans-Dieter Klingemann (WZB | Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung, and on "Religion in Contemporary Europe" by professor David Voas (University of Manchester). In parallel sessions, international scholars will present their papers on the diversities and trends in European values. Topics include family and marriage, work and leisure time, religion and morality, politics and society, and identity and ethnic diversity. This program is open for a scientific audience.
On Friday, November 25, the conference proceeds with a general program on The Value(s) of Europe open for the general public. The first copy of the new version of "Atlas of European Values" will be presented, followed by a lecture and political debate on the future of Europe. Admission to this part of the program is free.
