Draft 2010 ACJS Annual Meeting Program:
The Draft 2010 ACJS Annual Meeting Program is now available. Please note: Any corrections and changes to the program must be sent to the ACJS Association Manager at manager@acjs.org no later than December 15, 2009. After December 15, 2009, program corrections and changes will be printed in the program addendum.
Search the Program Draft by any keyword you choose. To search for specific keywords (instructions may vary slightly based on the version of Acrobat Reader):
1. Click Find in the Edit drop-down menu.
2. In the Find box, enter the text that you want to search for.
3. Press the Enter key or Click the Find Next icon located next to the Find box.
2010 Pre-Conference Workshop:
A pre-conference workshop entitled “Criminal Justice Program Evaluation: An Introductory Overview to Evidence-Based Accountability and Performance Assessment” will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, beginning at 4:00 PM. The cost of this workshop will be $50 and all attendees must also pre-register for the ACJS Annual Meeting. For more information and how to register, please click here.
2010 Annual Meeting Tour: San Diego State University VIZ Lab:
“Science, Technology, and the Visualization of Criminal Justice, Disaster Response, and Homeland Security”
A tour of the San Diego State University Visualization Laboratory (VIZ Lab) will take place on Thursday, February 25, 2010, beginning at 1:00 PM and returning to the hotel at approximately 5:00 PM. San Diego State University’s VIZ Lab, the research lab associated with SDSU’s Graduate Program in Homeland Security, is a global leader in applying scientific, technological, and policy research and analysis to real-world, real-time challenges on the local, state, national, and international levels via data collection, management, analysis, sensors, data fusion, visualization, communication, and decision support for Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief (HADR) and homeland security applications. The tour will demonstrate the various technologies used by the Lab to address challenges generated by incidents such as Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami in Indonesia, Afghanistan internet and communications development, and the H1N1 influenza pandemic. The tour will be led by SDSU’s Dr. Jeffrey McIllwain, Co-Director of the Graduate Program in Homeland Security and Associate Professor of Public Affairs and Criminal Justice; and Dr. Eric Frost, Co-Director of the Graduate Program in Homeland Security, Director of the VIZ Lab, and Associate Professor of Sciences. There is a maximum of 35 attendees for this tour and pre-registration is required. To register, please email the ACJS Association Manager at manager@acjs.org. Attendees will travel to the Lab by the city trolley and attendees should have $5.00 cash for the trolley fare.

PLEASE NOTE: LCD projections will be available in the meeting rooms. No overhead projectors or computers will be provided. Additional audio-visual equipment is the responsibility of the presenter. Individuals wanting additional equipment must either bring equipment to the conference or make the necessary rental arrangements through the hotel audio-visual provider.
