2018年10月25日，David Held在复旦高研院做了题为“Contemporary Challenges to the Global Order: Gridlock and Beyond”的演讲。
David Held，现任英国杜伦大学政治学教授，曾任英国伦敦经济与政治学院政治学教授，国际著名出版社Polity Press的创立者之一，当今政治理论领域多产作者之一。他近年出版的著作主要包括：《批判性理论导言：从霍克海默到哈贝马斯》(Introduction to Critical Theory：Horkheimer to Habermas，1989)、《政治理论与现代国家》(Political Theory and the Modern State，1989)、《民主的模式》(Modes of Democracy，1987第1版，1996第2版，2006第3版)、《民主与全球秩序》(Democracy and the Global Order，1995)、《全球转变：政治、经济与文化》(Global Transformations：Politics，Economics and Culture，l999)、《全球化与反全球化》(Globalization/Anti-Globalization，2002)、《世界大同主义：一种辩护》(Cosmopolitanism：A Defense，2003)、《全球协议：华盛顿共识之外的社会民主主义选择》(Global Covenant：The Social Democratic Alternative to the Washington Consensus，2004)等。
