孙国东编著《文化提升国家质量》英文版出版

近日，复旦大学社会科学高等研究院副院长孙国东教授主编的《文化提升国家质量：中国发展的使命》（英文版书名为：Chinese Culture and Its Impact on China’s Development），由新加坡世界科技出版公司出版了英文版。

该书原由复旦大学出版社于2017年出版，入选了2018年度国家新闻出版广电总局“丝路书香”工程重点翻译资助项目，由复旦大学外文学院孙东云副教授承担了英文版的翻译工作。

该书围绕“文化提升国家质量”这一当代中国的发展使命，既一般性地探讨了文化对于当前中国“国家质量”提升的重要意义，也从文明复兴、文化发展和文化建设等方面，对华夏文化在世界文明史上的地位、当代中国的文化复兴、儒家文化在现代社会的功能、转型中国文化认同建构的正当法则、当代中国文化的多样共生、国家意识形态的重构、新时期文化强国的打造和文化产业的发展、中国国际形象的树立等战略性、前沿性的理论课题进行了介入性的学理分析，并对有助于提升“国家质量”的重大文化战略和议程进行了建设性的探讨。该书作者既有像姜义华、何怀宏、周宁、丁耘等文化研究领域的著名学者，也有像吴海江、苏勇、孟建、孙国东、孙英刚、陈乔见等在此论题上业有专精的优秀中青年学者，是当代中国学者关于“重建文化中国”这一论题研究的代表性著作。
