Friday, January 21, 2011  | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Vanderbilt Hall, Greenberg Lounge
The Board of the NYU School of Law and Business would like to invite you to our annual symposium, entitled “Regulatory Reform and the Future of the U.S. Financial System: An examination of the Dodd-Frank Regulation," which is co-sponsored by the NYU Pollack Center for Law and Business. This year’s symposium will follow up on our highly successful symposium last year, which examined the initial legal repercussions of the financial crisis. This year focus will shift to the regulatory reforms that were passed by Congress in the Dodd-Frank bill. In particular, the discussion will explore the effect of the new regulation in three key areas of business law- derivative regulation, banking reform, and mortgage finance, with a focus on the future of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
