16th International Conference on Cultural Economics by the ACEI

The Association for Cultural Economics International (ACEI) invites you to attend its 16th international conference on cultural economics to be held at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, from Thursday June 10th to Saturday June 12th 2010. There will be a welcome reception June 9th in the evening. The local organizers of the conference are Copenhagen Business School, Institute of Innovation and Organizational Economics, and the University of Copenhagen, Department of Economics. We invite the submission of individual papers (in English) on any aspect of cultural economics to be considered for inclusion in contributed paper sessions. Economists and professionals working in the related fields are invited to submit theoretical and applied papers in all area of cultural economics. Scholars, business practitioners, consultants, and policy-makers that share an interest in economics-related issues and questions concerning this field are encouraged to attend the conference.

The conference will have theme-related special sessions and other regular ones. The following subject areas are intended to be illustrative of possible topics that might be considered, but other approaches are welcome:

- art markets and cultural consumption

- creative clusters and urban development

- cultural entrepreneurship and business

- cultural heritage and cultural tourism

- cultural policy and arts institutions

- culture, globalization and language

- economic of copyright and the cultural industries

- economics of marketing and promoting culture

- entertainment and media industries

- internet economics and culture

Send the provisional title and an abstract of 100-150 words including your name, mailing address and e-mail address, affiliation and position held, clearly stating the contribution of your paper to cultural economics. Abstract submissions must be received by January 15, 2010. Submissions will be refereed by the Conference Program Committee and authors will be notified in writing by February 15, 2010. Once accepted, complete papers must be submitted electronically (online submission). They must consist of a single PDF file with a maximum of 25 pages. No other format will be accepted. Authors are encouraged to submit their papers for possible publication in the Journal of Cultural Economics (see www.springerlink.com). Complete submissions must be received by May 15, 2010

Work in progress which however presents interesting recent results or novel ideas that are not quite ready for publication will also be considered and discussed in dedicated sessions. Papers will only be included in the final programme if presenting authors have registered by June 5, 2010

An after conference workshop for young researches will be held on Sunday June 13th, 2010.

The conference will blend invited papers from a small group of eminent scholars. In addition, Gillian Doyle

(University of Glasgow) will present an address as President of the Association. For more information, visit
